Vilma’s Ruffle Blouse is a simple, elegant design for the littlest girls. The blouse features a classic raglan construction with short sleeves and a small pattern detail on the front. For an even cleaner look, the pattern can be omitted. The blouse is adorned with a ruffle at the bottom, which opens with a small slit at the center front. The neckline, sleeve edges, and ruffle edge are finished with I-cords. To make it easier to get the blouse over a small child’s head, it is designed with a small slit at the back of the neck, closed with a button.

Vilma’s Ruffle Blouse is worked seamlessly from the top down. The neckline is worked first, followed by the classic yoke with raglan increases and the optional front pattern. After placing sleeve stitches on hold, the body is completed and finished with the ruffle edge. The sleeve stitches are then picked back up, and only a few rounds are worked before finishing the short sleeves with an I-cord bind-off.
